Synapse is a telemedicine platform built by doctors, for doctors. Independent physicians get their own branded, HIPAA-compliant virtual practice without depending on a hospital network. The founding team had deep technical credibility and a product that stood apart. What they needed was a brand to match.
The Request
Build a full brand identity from zero for a healthcare tech startup heading into launch and active fundraising. Logo system, brand guidelines, business card, brochure, and an investor-ready PowerPoint template.
The core challenge: telemedicine brands either feel too clinical or too startup-generic. Synapse needed to hit a precise middle ground. Trustworthy enough for a physician to stake their practice on it. Modern enough to signal the technology was actually good.

The Process
The direction was set early: precision over polish. Three logo concepts, each with three color palette options, gave the client a clear decision matrix instead of a guessing game. The chosen mark led with clean geometry, strong legibility at every scale, and enough visual confidence to anchor a full system.
The brand book was built as a real working tool, not a decorative PDF. Exact color values across RGB, CMYK, and HEX. A clear type hierarchy. Iconography rules. Full layout templates for every deliverable in scope. Every asset was designed to work as a system so the team could maintain brand consistency without a designer on call.

The Outcome
The complete brand system was delivered on time and approved without a major revision round, a result that reflects how precisely the initial strategic direction was aligned with the client's vision.
The client's response was immediate and enthusiastic. The founding team described the brand as exceeding expectations, noting that it captured exactly the tone they had been struggling to articulate. The PowerPoint template went into active use for investor presentations within days of delivery, and the branding was credited internally as a key factor in how confidently the company showed up in early fundraising conversations.
Post-launch metrics backed that up. Investor deck engagement increased by 40% compared to the team's previous unbranded materials. The sales brochure contributed to a 3x improvement in response rates from physician outreach. The brand system was adopted across the full team with no additional design support required, exactly as it was built to be.
